Communications Executive

Salary:            £25,000 – £30,000

Based near Hythe in Kent; Streetspace are leading manufacturers of canopies and street furniture with products that can be found on many external works schemes throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Create professional, targeted product and service-related copy for our brands. Mediums include blog posts, B2B case studies, web copy including on page content, titles and meta descriptions, campaign landing pages and emails, online product specifications, brochure copy, press releases, social media updates, etc.

• Produce ‘journalist quality’ press releases every time, structured using the pyramid format.

• Ensure all copy is written to the highest standard and is 100% accurate, relevant, current and grammatically correct.

• Ensure all your material is in line with company and industry standards, maintaining brand integrity.

• Have a good understanding of our different customer types and target material accordingly.

• Effectively liaise with colleagues across the Company to consolidate your understanding of our services and products.

• Cultivate a strong industry awareness and be consistent about keeping your skill set and knowledge current, allowing your copy to be on tone, on message, timely and relevant every time.

• Press release and editorial writing & distribution. Including PR strategy, building media contacts and distributions lists and follow ups.

• Help to create both internal and external company communications.

• Develop content and collateral ideas across online and offline marketing channels and coordinate and collate content for these initiatives.

What we’re looking for

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to relay technical terminology into an informative piece in a detailed and concise format that the average reader can understand.

• Experience writing SEO rich copy in online formats, such as web copy, blogs and other online media.

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.

• Ability and willingness to learn quickly.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate with colleagues across the Company at all levels and comprehend technical information.

• Excellent proofreading skills.

• Photoshop and photography skills are advantageous.

• Good organisation and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure.

• Experience in communications-based field, i.e. marketing, PR, journalism, creative writing, etc.

• Journalistic awareness – a strong understanding of the media, editorial requirements and what ‘makes’ a story so that the copy you create is useful and performs well for the client.

• Experience with media database, clippings tools and scheduling tools such as HubSpot a bonus.

• Ideally you will also have experience in a Business to Business environment.

• As a key member of the marketing team you’ll develop, deliver and evaluate integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.

Receptionist / Office Administrator

Based near Hythe in Kent this is an exciting period for our fast growing company and we are looking for a Receptionist/Office Administrator to join our friendly, highly valued team. If you have customer service at the top of your list, are hardworking and reliable then we’d love to hear from you!

The primary focus of the role is to be the first point of contact and ensure the smooth running of the Reception function at our Lympne offices. Alongside this will be the provision of administrative support to the operational areas of the business reporting to the Office Manager.

MIG Welder

Salary:            £negotiable

Streetspace Ltd is an established local business experiencing sustained strong growth and we are currently looking for a Welder Fabricator to join our metroSTOR street furniture manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, you will be working within a production / bench environment producing mainly batch work MIG welding mild steel section for the metroSTOR modular storage units. The role will also involve cutting/drilling/fabrication work for the R&D department.

You will need to be the type of person that is motivated to reach target outputs producing consistently high standards of workmanship in accordance with our ISO 9001:2008 accredited manufacturing process. Physically fit, reliable and with an enthusiastic approach, you will ideally have experience in a yard/workshop environment and have your own transport.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm
Holiday: 24 days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Digital Designer

Key Duties & Responsibilities

WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

• Reporting to the Marketing Manager; design new webpages, maintain and update existing, working from briefs and brand guidelines. Creation of content spots, static pages and category banners, updating and maintaining these on a campaign by campaign basis.

• Design and produce landing pages that generate customer growth, working to agreed timescales to achieve maximum response.

• Test websites across all browsers, operating systems, and devices to maintain responsive design.

• Demonstrate detailed-oriented strengths while working with content, links and work-flows.

• Help optimize loading speeds, capacity and SEO impact.

GRAPHICS

• Work closely with marketing team to create high-quality, informative marketing material and content to attract new visitors, engage with existing users, and increase brand visibility through creation an active community and thereby encouraging sharing of content.

• Design & build HTML/CSS mailers suitable across all channels & media working from briefs and brand guidelines.

• Design portfolio work including website design, brochures, flyers, HTML flyers, newsletters, invitations, PowerPoint presentations, company brand identity creation such as letterheads and logos and presentation templates.

• Assisting the marketing team with content creation, copywriting, email marketing and social media marketing.

• Reactively create, launch and assist on the management of social media campaigns.

Education/Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential

• General knowledge of web analytics, SEO and website management tools

• Previous experience in web design or building e-mails and landing pages to best practice

• Confident working with HTML, CSS and publishing online

• Confident working to briefs and brand guidelines

• Working knowledge of design principles for sites optimized for accessibility

• Able to demonstrate creative graphic design skills

• Strong grasp of language and grammar and marketing copywriting skills

• To have a sound understanding of branding

• Proficient use of MAC / PC and skills such as Visual Ideation/Creativity, Typography, Print Design, Layout/Conversion Optimization, Web Design/Basic HTML & CSS, WordPress

• Fluent with Adobe’s Creative Suite particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Ideal

• Educated to Degree level, preferably Web or Graphic Design

• Ability to code and build mobile responsive and touch-compatible designs / templates

• Experience of design within the product or service related industries. Good retouching skills. A knowledge of direct marketing

Timber Manufacturing Staff

Salary:            £9 – £9.50/hour
Job Type:       Full-Time, Permanent

Streetspace Ltd is an established local business experiencing sustained strong growth and we are currently looking for skilled timber manufacturing staff for our busy manufacturing facility at Lympne Industrial Park.

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, you will be working as part of a team fitting panel sections (timber, recycled plastic, steel and aluminium) and finishing components to our metroSTOR modular storage units.

You will need to be the type of person that is motivated to reach target outputs producing consistently high standards of workmanship in accordance with our ISO 9001:2008 accredited manufacturing process. Physically fit, reliable and with an enthusiastic approach, you will ideally have experience in a yard/workshop work environment and have your own transport.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm
Holiday: 20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
£9.00/hr increasing to £9.50/hr following 3 month probationary period
