Streetspace Communications Manager Simon Dolby launches London Teacher of the Year Awards at Heathrow Airport

Show your support for a school or college star in London

The London Teacher of the Year Awards mark the vital contribution that school staff make to our community. The awards recognise the expertise and dedication that is the hallmark of an outstanding teacher.

Nominations open each January. Award categories include primary, secondary, newly qualified teacher, non teaching member of staff including midday supervisors and caretakers and a volunteer award, which includes members of the PTA and governors.

A panel of judges, including Simon Dolby from Streetspace, select winners from the local authority areas across the capital.

Winners of the 2020 event, which is staged by the charity Inspire Schools, will be announced at a glittering ceremony in June at the banqueting centre at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Streetspace will play a key role in the event presenting the London Head Teacher of the Year Award at the climax to the night.

Event timetable:

  • 2 January – noon on 1 March: open for nominations
  • April: Judging panel meets
  • June: Awards celebration for 40 top school staff in London.
