Step 4 – Installation
All Streetspace Projects are managed in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Streetspace Group undertake the role of Principal Contractor and can also undertake that of Principal Designer when appointed by the client in this capacity.
The Principal Contractor duties include that Streetspace develop a Construction Phase Plan to ensure that at all levels we consistently plan, manage, monitor and coordinate Health & Safety. Central to this is the Streetspace Site Management team providing daily coordination with client and coordination of contract and fit-out trades.
Principal Designer will typically involve advising the client of their duties under CDM, collating the pre-construction information, preparation of the Health & Safety File and O&M manuals on completion.
The CDM Arrangement Form details the procedures in place to ensure that the site rules are upheld, including DBS clearances, site enclosure and access, project staff identification and welfare facilities.
